Hi guys I'm out with snowy on tues we are hoping to get out to some wrecks just praying like mad that this weather holds, looks ok for tues at the mo. Went into Allens Marine today and stocked up on sidewinders so hoping i hav'nt bought in vain, not sure what plan B is if we cant get to the wrecks, just wondered if anyone has ventured out in the channel yet and had any luck.

Cheers for that Hugh sat in the garden when i got home from work and made up all sorts of rigs some with long traces some with short ones, some with bling some without. Got loads of differant bait  out of freezer, picking some rag up from Allens in the morning. Might also fish a couple of banks for some rays.

im the same m8 with plaice rigs, but you get to know what works and what doesnt. the plaice were stuffed with pea mussels, even the shells, and them being black is why green and black is so hot.

its also so snaggy east and if you fish long traces your lose gear as you want your gear right under your rod.

good luck m8. just remember to keep your reel in free spool with your thumb on the spool. any sign of a bite let out line and count to 10 lol, do this a couple of times and bingo. dont strike, just reel in slowly.

weather looks great tomarrow, hopefully your get a few.

Went down selsey way 5 of us on the boat inc Mitch and Monkey Nuts ( nice to put faces to names), in 6 hours of fishing, 1 plaice to me and 1 wrasse. John had a small plaice and a vermin fish lol, snowy had a small spotted ray, and poor mitch never had a bite all day, to say it was hard work was an under statement, still we all had a good laugh and a joke, better than work. Roll on the bream.
