went out today with my mate from chichester harbour to utopia looking for tope. they were hard to find but we had fun with over 20 smoothounds to 12lb. my m8 had 2 tope 20lb and 38lb, i thought i hooked one but it turned out to be a 19lb undulate ray which smashes my personal best by 6.8lb. over the moon with that. loads of mackeral about had about 70 odd. nice day out and good company.

Great fish, Hugh.

I was out Fridy too; quieter day, but still managed bream, smoothhound, garfish, scad, mackerel and dogfish.  Will submit report.

Anyone venture out today?  If so, what were the conditions like? I'm thinking of a short session tomorrow venturing no further out than Dean Tail.

Cheers
