Forecast looked good so a hastily booked day off work.
Misty, dull and grey from the offset. Fairly nice conditions, settled at the fingers.
Caroline was first in with a 22lb 9oz fish.
Before I had got the scales out to weigh it she was in with her second fish, this one at 15lb.
The slack tide hit..
To rub salt into the wound she actually (And she meant it) said...
"Do you want me to bait up for you".... How she didn't go for a swim I don't know..
Anyway, tide started to run and my rod keeled over and 24lb 14oz.
Good day..
Had a "Huge" Blonde as well, a strap, and the obligatory Snoops.

The "Smile" on Carolines face isn't actually a smile, its more a grimace... She tried again and again and again to get those two lifted so I could click the button, and did it by sitting down, getting them up then standing up quickly..
Just don't let her know I told so...

WOW, I have only seen pictures of Caroline with fish. Dave it must feel great holding up your own fish for a picture. I hope that one day I can send a picture of me holding the catch of the day. Well done to you both. Dave

Did you say you are having problems getting it up Dave?

Anyhow there is a lot of weight when you have TWO big cod to lift, one is easy.

Well done you two.

Dave I sat in a meeting all day madly jealous as you texted me.  Great, great pictures.
