Out yesterday on a millpond smooth sea and beautiful weather off Hayling and Bracklesham. No plaice but plenty of whiting! Returning home realised how important it is to keep your wits at all times. Last drift across Bracklesham in somewhat misty weather. Could just see Chi bar marker so set off on a waypoint for the run in. What I did not do is either open the navigator to check the line or check the Chi bar marker which was actually the Bracklesham marker. I very nearly hit East winner sands at 20 knots! A real amateur mistake but a lesson that whatever the conditions always keep alert!
