Give Portsmouth lifeboat a shout and ask for the GPS numbers! We were out this afternoon, very snotty conditions and a boat puts up a may day in the Solent, says it is taking in water.

Portsmouth Lifeboat and Gosport rescue sent and took two people off but said it was too big to tow and asked for Bembridge lifeboat to assist with pumping and towing.

However before it got there the boat capsized and sank. Portsmouth Lifeboat said they marked its position!!

Dunno what it was, must have been a decent size though to shout for the Bembridge Lifeboat. water was coming in the stern so dont know if it mechanical or what?

It was the same as yesterday just a bit worse. Lovely in the morning, sat where you saw me yesterday, until the tide slackened off. Then the wind got up and kept increasing so we moved to Warner shoal. It got up to a seven and swung westerly as forecast so it was time to leg it home.

Went to start the boat and the batteries were flat, I have a jump start battery and leads so they were swiftly deployed and the boat fired up. When I got in the boat is starting fine on its regular batteries so I taken them off to be tested by Bardens.

It is on the news with pictures. It was a 11m commercial fishing boat 1.5miles off Langstone Harbour.
It has been marked with a buoy.

Keep it there, give it few months and it will hold some good bass and straps. Its surely a right of anyway.
