Hi hope someone can help my garmin 200 vhf radio stopped working today I can listen to every one but seem to be in able to transmit.

Have you cleaned around the transmit button in case it's "sticking" and not pushing in the switch.It could be as simple as that.
Also hold down for a while before transmitting & releasing a second or so after finishing.

Check the antennae connections, they are notorious for creating problems. You may need to take the connector apart and remake it.

Dave, i would do the following;
1, try another radio on your aerial set up, this will tell you whether radio or aerial.
2, if radio, could it be your microphone as it appeared a bit "hit and miss" on sunday.
3. If aerial, as suggested, remake the coax connections

I would be happy to give you a hand, not sure how easy to connect my vhf up to your earial, but shouldnt be too much of a problem. Let me know, id be happy to help.

Thanks for all the replies have got a gut feeling it could be aerial.

Paul yes please if we could rig your set up to my aerial to try would be great at some stage.
