Very goodLOL Landing nets have many uses, rescuing fenders, catching peeler crabs off harbour walls even rescued a jack russel one day and they enhance the look of the boat!

Now - if we are going to have a "most unlikely thing scooped up in a landing net competition" - I think a Jack Russell is definitely in the lead.

My most memorable is a ladies purse. She had it tucked in her cleavage but when she leant over side of her boat to tie onto the pontoon, up tide of me on the Itchenor pontoon, it (the purse) popped out!

I deny that I was watching the manoeuvre just because she was wearing a bikini, a lot younger than me & it was a big cleavage (I was just looking to see if they needed help). I whipped my LN out and saved the day before it sunk out of reach.
My reward was a pint of Arundel in the Ship (bought by her partner).

Oh, I think the cleavage, sorry, purse, definitely beats the Jack Russell, unless the dog bit Dave as he took it out of the net.

I remember the time I rescued a fender for an all female crew of a 70m yacht in the Solent and was asked to put it back when I went alongside them as they were on a training course for recovering overboard items!

I'm having a good chuckle.
But you can tell no-one's doing much fishing can't you!
