I was tempted but there's fog forecast for the morning.  A 90 mile drive in freezing fog and then the potential of fog out at sea doesn't appeal.  Good luck if you go

Good luck for Wednesday. Going to give it a go, taking bacon and eggs down to the marina and will see what happens 😊
Will post either way.
Had one last trip out so you never know...
All the best,
Johnny

Was pretty foggy at first went out a short way , it seemed it was more in the Solent so headed east and out to Deans Elbow. Fog was clearing as I went.
Anchored in clear sunshine, beautiful day , flat calm.
There were some shoals of small fish on the surface, maybe whitebait?
Caught the usual mix of dogfish, pout, whiting, conger and a nice undulate.
Had 3 big tales on small fish but none stayed on, I suspect conger just judging by the bite and the pull on lifting into them.
Back in around 3.30 and home to put up the Xmas tree. 😊
Didn't hear of any cod on the radio, certainly few and far between this year.
Hope everyone has a fun Christmas!
Johnny
