We went off down to Dean Tail but one hell of a squall blew up about 3pm.  We up-anchored early and ran before the squall. Got caught sideways on to few big ones and got a bit hairy for a while. I reckon it was about force 6 against tide for a while.

Worst of all ... never caught a blodding thing all day.

P.S. I put a call out on channel 10 for 'any solent Fishing forum members' but no reply. Is it worth us having our own 'group call ID' ?

Too rich for my blood today.  Chimet was F5 when I looked earlier this morning and F6 by 13.00.  Think I'll do some gardening instead. Or just sit on the boat in the Marina and cry. Cry

I was out but it wasn't nice, mackerel, bream and a hound in the Solent.

Good fun listening to the Cowes lot getting in a tizz on the radio - sorry Geoff.

What were the catches?
Was it worth the endurance?
Cheers
