I had a nice 4.25lb Bream last week - unfortunately it was in Bishops Waltham pond! Bloody sight more fun than trying to tempt non existent fish out of the Solent.

might have to anchor up close to your hot spot ,probably less weed in the pond as well ,do those bream go for squid or worm .

Gouda cheese freelined for 'sea' carp. Had a 7lb Common and 8lb Mirror as well! No anchoring required, no expensive moorings, who gives a toss about the wind, and a Fish and Chip shop a short walk away!!

The way my cod season went the chip shop was the only place id have seen a cod .

The only Cod we had on the boat last year was when we got fish and chips and sat on board to eat it, On the plus side it was a lot cheaper than going out to catch it and the boat didn't get messy with cuttle ink over the decks LOL
