all joking aside tho jim its about 8 miles from eastney beach and about 7 from chichester entrance, i dont know what your skills are but would say it would be a bit of a serious challenge to paddle out there with the tides etc and the boat traffic to contend with, and would not think it was allowed to climb on the tower, let alone fish from it, maybe some others on here have been there ?

i know lads that fish the nab tower area on their kayaks. but they are very experianced and paddle strong. they have been doing it for years and have paddled around the whole of the isle of wight. i think they are mental but each to their own.

weather dependant you could go anywhere if you have the right gear and the weather is spot on. when i had my kayak it was better equiped than most of the boats out their anyway, and bloody safer aswell.

if your considering doing that distance, do it in perfect weather but go with a group for safety in numbers. but dont climb on the tower your proberly get in trouble.
