I have a cancellation on Wdnesday and the forecast looks good. Blackmafia and I are going to the Middle Grounds at Selsey if anyone else fancies it. Just a couple more so we have plenty of space.
By the way I have just spent three days cleaning and polishing the boat so smart clothes only!!!

OK guys, dont worry, I have had a better offer to go offshore wrecking tomorrow and I cannot say no!

Last trip I did not go but they ran out of room to put the fish and had to come home!

Same problem, fish box not big enough!

Twenty plus pollock, eight bass everything between 4lb and about 10lb (pollock). Couple of mackerel, scad and half a dozen pouting. Some really good fish hooked and lost (small ones never get away). Hard work sometimes but good fun even though the forecast was wrong - again.

A stiff westerly wind created some nasty conditions at times.

Dont know about that, for a couple of hours I could not even hook them. I did land all those I hooked though.

Brings to mind a story about my mate Arthur who went wrecking with me off Plymouth a lot of years ago. Shads were the 'new' thing then and we were both trying them.

I hooked and landed several good pollock and cod whilst Arthur was getting some cracking takes but could not get a hook up.

After an hour of this I got him to show me his rig which was just the same as mine with one noticeable difference - he had not taken the plastic hook protector off the point of the hook!!!
