Was thinking of trying to organise a summer BBQ in Bembridge maybe June or July.
Just wondered if anyone would fancy this?
I can check with the harbour master if it would be possible to get a rate for a number of boats. If the tide was right could come over maybe late afternoon and off the next day.
I have a small house there with a good sized patio so can host the BBQ, There is also the Pilot Boat just down the road for further drinks if needed.
Cannot house everyone so it would be a case of sleeping on boats...
Could maybe have a species hunt comp on the Saturday prior to coming into Bembridge.
Let me know if you would be up for such an event. Could be fun.
All the best, Johnny

I like the idea Johnny, and would aim to be there. However, I already do a similar weekend with another group and we've booked it for June so I'm not sure if I will be able to make two trips in such a timescale.

Would be great though!

Sounds good - daughter lives in Bembridge - know it well. Been over in the boat and know the Pilot Boat very well.

I have a good mate who is a keen fisherman and a butcher, I can twist his arm to give a great deal on the meat, like cost or less.

All sounds good, thanks for the encouragement. I will look at some dates...
There are 2 campsites either side of Bembridge. One by the airport and another as you come into St Helens. Anyway I will check.
Further news as I get organised!
