hiya lewis
due to tide times and my own boat being on a trailer i have spent many nights fishing pompey harbour to be able to get out to nab at 1st light , a real good place for bass is as you head from castle in the air pub slipway follow channel right round past wicor marine on ya left,, the last row of moorings that are  just to the left of where  the old warships were up untill recently ,is pewee island  ,fish the east side between the yaughts casting towards the island and your be into the bass, had my pb bass of 11lb there on a 9.99 rod that was being used by a mate for his 1st fishing trip till he fell asleep
bloody eels are a pain though but nothing my machette didnt sort out
hope this helps mate
regards john

thank you very much for the adice mate, just looking to practice with my boat or go out in the small boat and fancied doing a bit of fishing as well, and never really hear much (report wise) about the harbour. is there much about in the channels in the harbour or should i stay out of these due to boats using them to come and go?? and find some obstructions and other such marks. bet that bass went nuts when you caught it?

type in old gosport road in fareham on google earth look around waters edge(it shows car an boat on slipway)
ideal spot as its easy off motorway and good parking £2.00 per day for car and £2.00 for trailer
