Still waiting for that first plaice, any view on the best colour beads to use ??? Green / red / White / orange there are to many choices.
Also is the spoon optional or a must have? How long should the trace be ? Size and type of weight ?

Green and black beads seem to be the favorite.....  spoon is optional.

green and  black andy  if youi  d tide  use  a spreader  from  solent  tackle    again with  the beads  and traces  no  longer  than6 ins  as  much  weight  as you need to  hold  go over  if in   doubt   lift up  and  down  every  now and then   if you  win on saturday     lager is  my poison lol

colours   i use  red and yellow  these  had been out fishing black and green !!  with  a spoon  above top snood ,    been working realy well  when i took a boat out off Newhaven ,                                             Anyone tried those lumini beads ?

we use  black and  green  beads  to  mimic  mussells  when were fishing  over  mussels
