An absolute cracking day with the sea like a Millpond.. A glass type finish to it, except for when we came back. Got to the Overfalls and it was squally, and by all accounts had been like that most of the day.
We headed 45 miles out and dumped ourselves on to a wreck.
Spent half an hour getting the lay of it then it was fishing time.
Caroline had the first Pollack out which went a mighty 3.5lb..
I had the next one which went around to 15lb, this was followed by numerous others around the 9 - 10lb mark. The Caroline landed one which I swear she was hoping would be bigger than mine, but alas for her it wasn't.. (14lb)
She did me on the numbers, but I had the biggest of the day.
Her twin tail black and red jelly worm proved the better lure. (That's what I say and sticking to it)
Came back with 16 Pollack. A few came off on the side of the boat and we dropped a few half way up.
The ones that came back with is did so because the swim bladders were popped out.
A cracking day... No Cod, but next time. Only other fish was a stonking huge pout, and Caroline had that...

No, drifting....
I contemplated deploying my sacrificial anchor into the wreck, but for the fact the tide was pushing 2.7 knots and above and I didn't know the wreck (War Grave respect) and we were in 175ft water, I just drifted it.
