Take some as in Christchurch it has too been hit and miss. If you buy some there will be loads of fresh, if you don't buy any you will struggle! Oh, the law of SOD again!

11am last Saturday the water was boiling with em around Spit sands fort, the seagulls were having a good feed too. Bucket full in 15 mins. At 3pm when I came in there wasn't any sign of them.

Good numbers of big ones round Horse Sand fort and the Cambrian wreck today, none round the tankers, very few off Bembridge Buoy and none at the Theofano Concrete wreck.

You need to cover the ground to find them sometimes. Try towing your feathers with a heavy weight, then when you get a take stop and jig. If the shoal has moved try again. I found them last weeked - around Flag Theofano too!
