Looks like Santa is bringing me a spinning rod for Xmas. So how do you store your lures? Are they neatly lined up in a box by type, size and colour, or does the box resemble something off Scrap Heap Challenge with more spikes than a wasps nest.

I was given something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wychwood-Extremis-Lure-Fishing-Bag-5-Lure-Boxes-/400582187792 a few years ago. Although I use the bag to carry my camera equipment because I thought the zip would seize up, but I do use the plastic storage trays for all my hooks, terminal tackle and lures. I tend to store jellies and eels together and others that are more "detailed" separately.
Another tip you may like is that if your using lead weights you might like somewhere to keep them. I use a 5 liter fuel can which I have chopped out one side to allow me to place things inside, but still retaining the carry handle. Don't forget the drain holes in the bottom. |
