Out Tuesday with charter. Had a last go at the plaice on the drift before they go off to spawn (3rd rearrangement due to blow outs). Had loads of immature little'uns - a couple 1.5 to 2lb & 3 others takeable. Looks like the mature fish have mostly gone. Loads of mainly small whiting & some lovely gurnards all on drift.
Bit lively early on but calmed down with the tide turn.

Day topped of with a lovely little goldcrest having a rest on the rail and then coming into the cabin for some warmth! Sat on the chart table - had a drink of water - biscuit crumb. Stayed with us for 2 hours before heading off on his journey with best wishes from the crew.
