Is it just me that's crap at fishing or are the fish all in hiding ?

I went out Saturday to the Culver Area......put up with the choppy sea, the wind and loads of weed for 7 hours but only had two bites all day, admittedly i did catch one conger and a smoothhound but that was it.....a crap day out !!

Did anyone catch a Cod ?

Saturday was slow but had a good one yesterday despite the strong winds. We stayed in the Solent with six rod hires and they had loads of mackerel and doggies, three bass, two rays, a smoothound and a bull huss.

Nothing big but non stop action and one of the bass was 4lb.

Love the night fishing, congers are fun heaving up but it would be nice to catch something I can eat.
Was going to do an all nighter over at the nab but was concerned that the ships might run us down.

I would hate to work out how much I spend on marina, fuel, bait, depreciation, lunches in a year.....divided by the number of Bass I catch a year would make them around £500 a fish LOL - but we wouldn't have it another way.
