First decent cod yesterday on one of the charters. 16lb north of Nab. Dozen or so boats in same location- very slow but some decent rays incl blondes.

Sounds great did try to contact you Tuesday afternoon but obviously unable to reach through the island lol!!
Got out later than expected so decided to stay local tried Gilkicker but only 2 small congers and one whittling
Perhaps the big one you lost was a larger conger
Glad you did well though hopefully out again Thursday for a bit
Lots of boats out but no shouting so not much caught I expect in the Solent anyway no weed this time so thatís good too
Keep in touch Dave

Great couple of days with good company and spitfire giving a great display. This is what sea fishing is all about. Dave

That sounds like a great couple of days Dave. Well done.
You're right there, keep it simple and enjoy the day (and the refreshments at night!)

Seems the odd one or two are about. I went out a couple of hours Tuesday evening for one micro pout.
Big tides but might try Sunday if the wind has settled to something doable.
Good luck if you are also out and about. J

Very good weather to go glad you caught some fish
Congers seem to be prolific these days mostly small but they put a nice bend in the rod especially if they are in the teens
Was unable to go Sunday so Iím hoping we get a window again soon thanks for your update and all on here too
Itís good to know when fish are being caught even if itís by others
Weíll done
