Hi

I have northstar m84 plotter and fish finder, which come with with the boat, i have noticed that the detail of the plotter/ map is not as good as others i.e. won't show the fingers off the nab etc along with other contours, the sd chart with the chart on is dated 2007, would it be worth a update ? i have looked and the c map max is compatible with my plotter has anyone got or tried the latest version ? or advise

cheers John

My card is the  C map NT plus?? It is in the twelve inch Navman, the predecessor to the Northstar.

I have a lot of detail including the fingers you are talking about, I have not seen any charts with more detail than this has. I would double check you have everything enabled on your plotter.

They do improve them but not an awful lot. More a case of updating the position of things.

I think your problem may be in how it is set up. Try restoring factory settings to start with.

BTW mine is the C Map NT plus card.

If you are local to me you can try my card, or look at the way mine operates.
