I too am off to France tomorrow (Thursday) to Disney land. Why the hell I am going at my age I don't know, would prefere being out in the Solent fishing but I can wait untill my (Big Bertha) new fishing rod arrives, got it in readyness for the Shark season next spring. My record stands at 473lbs so I wan't to try and beat that next year.
Well Solentfisher, If I were you I would go fishing while these nice fat juicy Cod are around..
Of all the fishes in the sea, the Mermaid is the one for me.

We did Nab Tower,a lot of small whiting, half a dozen over 1.5lb, several pouting and a 17lb cod.

It was a bit rougher than I expected, probably blowing twice what was forecast.
