It's the annual Bembridge Cod Comp tomorrow. £10 entry and £250 top prize!!
Forecast looks good, anyone else doing it? I know I will....

It's from 9-4. Just brought the boat over from Gosport. Nasty and wet!!
Anyway all prepared, bait ready, rods set up etc. Not sure where to go but as the tides are smallish so will probably head for the fingers and sit it out.
I think they are expecting up to 50 boats so honestly the lucky one will win, hope it's me!!
Huge prize list so you never know...

We fished west of the tower today and caught about 12 whiting all a good size an undulate ray of about 12lb and 2 conger Kevin had the biggest which would guess was about 40lb Llosa another no sign of a cod but good to get out.

went to browndown close in and had a 12lb cod.
was cursing xcweather early on as their NNE 2 was in fact W 4.. however it did turn out alright.
