Bass are a great fish to catch and yes I am guilty of keeping one for the table but when I got i.e. The other week it was in a way great to see it swim off a really powerful fish that deserves respect if we can only take one fish a trip for six months of the year so be it if this helps the fishery to recover , looking forward to the mackerel showing as they have to be one of the best fish to eat.

I totally agree. However, if the species needs protection it needs protection. That means no commercial boats as well. You can't have it both ways. Farmed Bass are edible. There is no need for commercial fishing of endangered species. Talk to yer MP (if you can stand the frustration).Angry
