Good result. What were you using? Bait or lure?
An old sea dog never dies, he just smells fishier...

sounds like good fun mate,
mate of mine went out last week on a charter they had buckets of good size bass,
used live sand eels, killer bait every time he said, anyone got a few to spare or have a supplier,

wet wheels, was using lures out there mate doing real short drifts when tide was running hard you only get about two casts out with a fast retrieve & then its back up for another one so helps if you have one fishing & one playing captain putting the boat on the next drift

mitch i wouldnt worry about trying to get hold of eels mate i always go out on the offshore banks with live wrasse they stay alive on the hook all day & seem to pick out the bigger fish,  then while out there feather up some joey mackerel & use them for live bait,  remember though to cut off there tails if drifting on the bottom with them as they swim up lifting the lead

small eels are ok on inshore marks for small fish i have caught 1lb bass on 3/4lb mackerel
if you can stock up with launce now theres a dif story!

up & running for a day now back getting sorted once again,  deck join cracked again, pissing me off now

you want to try the overfalls with the joeys mate,  wouldnt bother the trek out there with tides under 4.4
had it off out there for the bass many times, big fish as well

the cement boat wrecks full of little pout we were getting loads on feathers if you cant get the joeys

Talking of live sandeels, anyone know where you can buy them from (if at all) in the Southampton/Portsmouth area?

Cheers
