Had a short session on Banjo pier in Looe 6.30-9pm last night as I was down in Cornwall for the day.  HT 20.21.  Plenty of whiting around & that's all I caught.  A few flounders coming out to a couple of other fishermen as well on ragworm.  Conditions should have been ideal although the strong Sw'ly was right into your face making casting and bite detection challenging at times.

Still, good to get out and better still to catch.

Ray

I've only fished 'White Rock' on the west side of the harbour - the one with the light on it.

Looe is great for float fishing for mackie, pollack and gars in the summer.  I also like freelining for bass in the river with live sandeel dug from the harbour.

i only fished the rocks once there while competing in the week long boat comp down there, that day it was called off due to the weather so we had a go for only a couple of hours, did plan to do a bit of mullet fishing too, but ended up getting smashed in one of the pubs down there ...........got out the next day and fished in a force 6 wished we went for those mullet instead of the beer
