I live in Camberley so I can't always get before shops close - where in portsmouth I could dig for rag?

35 viewings and no hint - are you all commercial bait diggers or something?!
No one friendly from The Solent area?
Thanks anyway

1st thing 1st welcome to the forum RyszardBig smile
2nd this thread may have had 35 views, but they might of been spiders,or people looking for information or just seeing whats been posted of late.
There are a number of area's that you can dig for,for either rag worm or lug worm, but most people keep this information to them selves to save there bait spots!
This is a good forum and once you get to know people they will open up to you and give advise freely, but with a comment like " no one friendly from the solent area" is not a good start on your 2nd threadSmile
Most people or a fair few are out fishing weekends, and dont bother looking in untill the sunday,or monday.
There are areas in the southamption area, gosport area, and the portsmouth area to dig bait, but tbh most of the rag beds have been rapped over the years with commerical bait diggers as well as free lance anglers, but there is still some good places to dig.

Where are those fish!!!

Apologies!

I doesn't look well now - to excuse myself I can only say that I had planned to go fishing this weekend and I could not - similar state to my wife having a period...
Also didn't realised that I'm asking for reveling secrets online...

On the other hand sometimes one needs to shout to be heard :)

Big thanks lee lj

ps
If you see a guy on eastney with a chidren's starting sea fishing kit - thats me ;)

best bet, tipner area or langstone harbour. alot of areas have been hammered so it can be hard work.

best bet allans marine in portsmouth, £10 for a lb of quality rag. simples lol

spend some time finding your own spots, this is what i do,and the best spots tend to be the ones that dont look to great, knee deep in mud is not always a bad thing, have a search around, one of my fav spots is thight deep mud but can dig huge amounts of monsters....try to find your own spots people dont dig in,then......keep it to your self.or like me just tell the people that help you out...

and remeber top noch bait collected as fresh as you can will catch you more fish its worth the effort,i promis LOL
