Out tomorrow on sea fox hopefully flat as today

Solent Hugh but I went down to Lepe. Saw Gary Bull at Gilkicker and he had one there. Another mate went out to the Nab in a thirty footer and came back in early as it was to rough. He had one small one out there.

Wasn't to nice out there today. It was bordering more on endurance rather than enjoyment, but boat needed a run, electronics needed operating, and windlass etc needed to be put under strain.

Got a couple of Codling as well.
1 Codling @ about 6lb and the other bordering on Cod rather than Codling at about 8lb.

Loads of strap congers in the 8 - 12lb bracket. Plagues of them. The occasional larger one, which when breaking the surface was easy to think that's a biggun based on the previous caught straps, but realistically no bigger than 18lb ish Max.

We were at the Fingers with about a dozen other boats.
Certainly a lot of boats out today.

Once back into the Solent it was a lot calmer and flatter.

Back to battening down the hatches for another couple of weeks now then I guess.

It's Nice to see that others got out at last. I managed to blag a day off but was not so fortunate. In fact it was a disaster. Got to Chichester Bar and throttled up only for plumes of white exhaust to bellow out. Gutted. If it's not one thing it's another. ££££££ ???

Big smile

Cheers Ray..... Was a late decision from last night...

Sam... That doesn't sound good. Is it steam or unburnt diesel?
You investigating / fixing yourself, or getting someone to do it for you?

Dave, its diesel. Ok on low revs but as soon as she pushes up to 2000 plus it plumes out. I am not that machanically minded and spoke to the guy who sorts her out for me and he will have a look at her early next week.
