Yes any light drifting or lure set-up will work with Isomes. Have a Google. You have to keep them moving, they are not a static bait.

Caught plaice and gurnard last year on isomes. Used a drop shot rig, LRF type tackle, only 2/3" between lead and hook. Hooked around 20% of the isome leaving the rest free.. Kept it moving but just bumping on the bottom, bites very evident and positive.

I lifted it a few inches and then dropped it bouncing on the bottom, kept it moving all th time. Bites were obvious knocks. Hope that helps.

Hi I used small bomb, maybe 1oz / 2 max. Just keeping in contact with the lure and raising /lowering a few inches regularly but not manically to give some action to the isome.

I am going to try those small banks off Hill Head groynes as suggested by Mako. I am hoping to get some black lug from Pongos (Poindestres) and have a bit of a lie-in since they open at 9am. It is going to be a glorious day so I hope to see some of you guys out and about. I'll be listening on channel 10 on the hour. Might even try a shout to see if any SFG guys respond.

Possibilities. Bayliner 2452 as per the avatar. Listening CH10 on the hour. Solent UK.
