I am hoping to get out in the solent this weekend and try for some bass. Can anyone suggest a mark or area to try please ?

Not in the Solent but the Selsey banks have been producing a few as have the overfalls.

The wreck off Browndown usually produces a few but you will have to fight the floating weed menace.

you could try sturbridge shoal  just  drift   50 to 100 yrds  south if  bouy  youll see the   banks

Over towards Ryde from Pompey Harbour. Marked with a big yellow cardinal buoy.

you cant miss it  the car ferry  and the passenger ferry  both  kiss it  and  the  hover   goes  by  aswell

I was going to try the overfalls tomorrow, but I reckon the tide will be ripping too fast for most of the drift and will only have narrow windows where the current is just right in which to fish. What do others think?
